Dear Members

“THANKS!”

Firstly, a big thank you to all who supported us over the Jubilee weekend. It was nice to see the club getting back to full strength. The Committee wishes to place on record its thanks to the Steward and her staff who worked so hard. We are grateful too to “Off the Wagon”” who played on Sunday afternoon at the indoor barbecue.  We are trying to persuade them to make a return appearance and will be holding another barbecue in the Summer.

NEW TILL SYSTEM AND DOOR ENTRY

After some teething problems the new till system has been installed. Eventually swipe cards will replace our fobs. These will be issued to new members. For the present both systems will operate alongside one another.

 BUILDING AND MAINTENANCE

We have had a condition survey undertaken of the building. We are looking to complete the considerable number of repairs on a programmed basis. We prioritised the kitchen and  have replaced the  dishwasher and flooring. Next on the agenda is external painting at the rear of the club.this is scheduled for July. We are also getting more roof repairs done and are awaiting the erection  of the scaffolding.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

We have had a fire safety survey undertaken and all exit signs and extinguishers are now in place.

We are concerned about disabled access to the building and have purchased a ramp which is stored near the front door. Please advise staff if you or a guest needs to use it. We have also purchased a fold up wheel chair which is also stored near the main entrance.
